NASCAR has an immense following and is popular in many countries, broadcasting televising races in over 150 countries and in America it’s fans and television ratings are second only to the NFL (National Football League). As a result of this popularity, stock car racing as a professional sporting franchise has become heavily commercialized, being featured in many films and television series, and constantly referenced on radio programs, with many programs entirely devoted to sports racing commentary.
